Creative Schools Initiative

We are very lucky to have a rich culture of Arts in Ballyshannon, with many talented musicians, choirs, drama groups and artists(to name but a few!) who share their talents with our community each year. This love for the Arts has been a big part of life in Scoil Chaitríona throughout the years too, with many of our staff utilising their varying talents and interests to promote the Arts and nurture our pupils' creativity, through numerous projects and productions thorughout the years.

This year, we are very lucky to be part of the Creative Schools Initiative and we are very much looking forward to continuing to strengthen our love and interest in the Arts. Karen Webster, an artist based in Co Sligo has been assigned as the Creative Associate to our school and we will be working closely with her and other local artists over the next two years to develop our children’s Art, Music and Drama skills. We see great potential in our pupils and we look forward to seeing their creativity flourish and their artistic talents put on display.
