The children in Scoil Chaitriona have always had green fingers and enjoy gardening and planting in the school plots, be it potatoes, onions, garlic or sunflowers. 🌱🌻
This year however, Mr Kelly’s 5th and 6th class undertook a unique project in planting, cultivating and cutting a flax crop. The children learned all about the flax crop, it’s history locally and of how the crop is used to make linen.
