Our school is located in the heart of Ballyshannon, just opposite Coláiste Cholmcille. Here at Scoil Chaitríona we offer a safe positive learning environment that encourages the academic achievements of all students. Our staff has a wealth of experience in teaching children of all levels and abilities. We are a friendly inclusive school with an experienced special needs team.  

Our school is multi-grade and has three warm and colourful classrooms, two literacy support rooms, a maths support room, Aistear (play) room, library, parents room and a kitchen.  We also have our own sports hall equipped with a stage for special productions.

Our school is well equipped with the latest in I.T. Each classroom has an interactive whiteboard. We have a trolley of class laptops and 10 iPads for use in the classroom.

We provide lunches for our children. Each child receives a choice of either a wrap, roll, sandwich or pasta at lunch time and have a choice of water or fruit juice to drink. Children also receive a variety of healthy snacks including fruit, yoghurts or high fibre rice cakes, muffins , breadsticks and more.
